Graham and his little buddy, Hayden, went to see Curious George Live last month in Norfolk! (Graham and Hayden decided to invite their parents, too!) It was amazing. I had fairly low expectations going in to it. And was convinced that Graham would not be interested in sitting still for the show. Was I mistaken! He was mesmerized the entire first half, slept for the entire second half. And I was completely impressed!

Gym Class!
About two months ago, we signed Graham up for gym class, and we are all addicted! He has a membership to a place called "My Gym", and it's truly amazing. Every week when we get in the car he talks about going to "clas" the entire way there. Every week they set the gym up differently and have different games to play. It's one of the most fun hours we have every week!

I'm Addicted to Being Outside!
Spring (somedays summer!) is officially here, and I can't get enough of the outside! We're starting to feel more comfortable letting Graham roam freely around the yard. (The "berries" from some of our plants are no longer falling, so I'm less worried that he'll eat a "blueberry".)

Graham is more like his dad every day - he plays. ALL THE TIME. He loves to kick the ball, shoot baskets - anything with a ball. In fact, he's so much like he father that he throws a fit when he has to come inside to eat dinner! (Kyle no longer throws fits....we've worked on that.:)) Ignore the eyesore pool fence!

Norfolk Botanical Gardens
Graham and I went to the "World of Wonders" at the Botanical Gardens about a month and a half ago - just testing it out to see if we wanted to get a membership. We had a mommy-Graham day - played in the kids' area and had a picnic lunch on a blanket next to the river. (I was looking for some special bonding time at the picnic, and Graham was MUCH more interested in the million "mime-mones" (pinecones) that were around our blanket. And the "big bat" (big bath) - river.)
While I know the gardens are not technically an undiscovered treasure, they are (were?) to us. The kids' area is AMAZING! We have since bought a membership and have been back about 5 times. And every time we go, we don't come close to covering the entire kids' area.
There is a bald eagle at the gardens that has made it's nest every year for the past three year - there's now a baby eagle in the nest. AMAZING!
One of Graham's favorite areas - the giant box of dirt - complete with shovels and scoops! (I find it INCREDIBLY difficult to clean under his fingernails every time he plays in the dirt!)

The reason we went was because it was a hot day, and I was sure the big sprinkleres would be one. No such luck. Which ended up being a good thing. The small sprinklers in the frog area were on, and that was enough for Graham!Dinner - After the Topping Off Party
After the topping off party, everyone (all 25-30 of us!) headed to dinner together. (We went to Aqua - amazing restaurant if you're ever on the Eastern Shore.) Great food, great friends, and another great beach just off the porch of the restaurant!
