Hurricane Sandy = Mommy and Daddy "School"

So - we tried our best to fill a day with interesting activities to keep our boys - and us - from going completely stir crazy.  We did arts and crafts in the morning, stickers, them we build a spider web and the boys put on their Halloween costumes and crawled all over the web, had exercise class, made cotton ball masks, and finished off the morning by opening up a tatoo parlor.  Luckily after naps we still had power, so the boys were able to watch a show.  Then Kyle put the big boys in the car to drive around and see what Sandy left us with.

Homework!

Graham had two homework projects that we had to work on last weekend - gave us something to do while we waited for Hurricane Sandy to pass us by.  And I found I have a little Tom Sawyer on my hands....halfway through Graham said to me, "Mommy, how about you do the work and I eat my lunch?"  He had be laughing hysterically!

Carving Pumpkins!

So - ideally carving pumpkins would be a super fun thing to do with kids, right?  Wrong.  The kids lose interest very quickly, and Daddy ends up carving the pumpkins by himself while Mommy makes sure the boys don't kill each other while Daddy's hands are covered in pumpkin guts.

Pop Pop and G-Mom Visit!!!

We had a great visit recently with Pop Pop and G-Mom!  Our house was the regular craziness + Halloween!  We went to the Halloween party at Brooks' gym class - and had to coerce the kids to wear their spider costumes.  But - HOW CUTE????
