Well, I can't promise that this blog is going to be entertaining - or even mildly interesting - but we thought this would be a good place to update our out-of-town friends on what's going on in our lives. Actually - what will be going on in Graham's life. Our first child is due November 10, 2008, and his name is going to be Graham Knox Gift. (He will share initials with his dad...Geoffrey Kyle Gift.)
We'll do our best to post quite a few pictures.
In the meantime - while I'm trying to figure out the very technical picture-posting techniques - I'll share a "Gift" story. While some people might think our last name is cute or catchy, it really stumps other people. I was recently at TJMaxx in the check out line. After handing the cashier my credit card (note: my credit card is very light grey with a brightly colored yellow and red mastercard insignya on the front), she asked to see my ID. Naturally, I gave it to her. She looked at my ID for probably 20 seconds and then told me she was going to have to re-ring my purchase since I had given her a gift card instead of a credit card. What do you say to that?! Trying to explain to her that the card I gave her actually was a credit card was tricky.
