Random Cuteness

Clearly this picture was NOT taken this past weekend with the absence of snow in the background! This was a few weekends ago when we had a warm spell and just couldn't resist going for a walk.

Good Times at Harris Teeter

It runs in the Gift family genes to fully engage all grocery store "contraptions". When I was pregnant with Graham and on bed rest, Kyle and I went to the grocery store together a few times. And I rode in the motorized cart. Yes I did. The videos we took still make me laugh uncontrollably. We've started to do our grocery shopping on Saturday morning - early - and the store is almost empty. Which means every choice of shopping cart is available (Our grocery store has so many kinds - who even knew there were so many options?! - motorized, one with a car seat thing, the driving kind, the car kind, and the plain 'ol kind. Does that strike you as overkill? It does me!)
Graham LOVES driving the cart. So, we've graduated to the one below. And the germ-freak in me did wipe down that entire green area before either of his hands even came close.

Music Class

Graham loves music class. (And Graham's parents love music class, too!) He's been going to the same music class with the same kids since he was about 5 months old. and, we adore his teacher, Mrs. Virginia. And how convenient is this - Virginia Beach Preschool For The Arts is 5 minutes from our house.
Graham doing the hot potato song - which he does well (and frequently) - he's just eye-ing the camera's next move...

The inevitable "flap" that goes with most songs
hiding behind his animals....

Sticks!
With Mrs. Virginia - he goes right up to her and sits in her lap for at least one song every class time

Now that Graham is walking - um running - we're off to sign him up for a gym class! (the little kids gym classes are crazy cute!!!)

Snow - Round Two

Graham's first sledding experience - he really did start to warm up to it!

So - if one of our drink tubs doesn't work so well this summer, we'll know why! It did make the perfect "ride" for Graham around the neighborhood.
Note: The umbrella is not necessary when it's no longer snowing.

The lovely archway - compliments of Kyle Gift. (and it's covered in Christmas lights - nothing like Christmas in almost-February) Our neighborhood's annual Roving dinner was Saturday night, and this greeted each of the visitors to our round. Would you believe everyone walked through it?! I don't know that I would have!

It's snowing - in VIRGINIA BEACH!!! (?!)

And we are GIDDY!!! We've lived most of our lives in Virginia Beach, and I can't remember the last time we saw snow like this. This morning we woke up to this:

Yep - this will work! (We used one of the tubs we put drinks in for a "sled" for Graham to sit in.)

The is Kyle's newest contraption - it actually worked!
Nope - the rain boots didn't work. Too many layers below - two pairs of pants, two pairs of socks. As Brian Regan would say - "we abandoned that whole track and found something a little simpler for ourselves!"
Tennis shoes two sizes too big!
I think Graham gave the snow a C+ - he wasn't loving it, but he wasn't hating it either.

The girls LOVE to play tennis ball - so we changed up the game a bit to "snowball". And I think they love it even more! The two girls are truly giddy beyond belief!
Molly - ready for the snowball....throw it already!
These two ladies are like jack rabbits running in the snow!

In our back yard chasing tennis balls ...

I don't remember the last time I saw Molly this excited!! (She's the one jumping on me in the picture below.)
