The Littlest Gift

We are in the midst of three kids.  And it's NUTS!  Kyle is exhausted from being a constant source of entertainment for the big boys - and a referee to make sure they don't hurt Tanner since I'm not moving too quickly these days.

And both Graham and Brooks are enamored with their little brother.  For the most part, they are gentle. BUT, we can't turn our heads for a second!

Happy And Well Adjusted

It still blows my mind that little Brooks is sleeping in a double bed.  Looks like he's pretty comfortable!

Sick Day

Graham has been fighting a cold for a few weeks.  Well, his cold has turned into a really bad cough.  He coughed so hard this morning that he spit up.  So, no school and unfortunately no hat parade.  Brooks went to his gym class with Bebe while I stayed home with Graham and Tanner.  We did a science experiment - grew soap in the microwave - played outside and watched movies.

And in the afternoon the big boys played hide and seek in the downstairs tub!

After Graham's appt at the doctor, he and Kyle went to the pool store to get a kit to close the pool.  They also came home with a remote control boat!!

And someone requested a robot costume with the new diapers that came in the mail today....

Hat Parade!

At dinner last Thursday night, we chatted with Graham about which hat he would like to pack to take to school - throughout the week they had learned about the letter H, and they were having a hat parade on Friday.  Graham decided on a Santa hat, and, of course, Brooks wanted in on the action.  So he chose a shark hat.  CUTIES!

Tanner's Newborn Pictures....More To Come!

A Visit From Uncle Bear!

Brooks loved showing off his "head butt"

Happy Birthday, Ammi!!

He's a Little Yellow.....

All three of our boys have had a bit of jaundice, but Tanner has been the most jaundiced.  So much so that he had to sleep under a bilirubin blanket for about 24 hours - which I found a bit stressful and somewhat annoying to have him attached to a fat cord and a box.  BUT - what a blessing we have that contraption!  And what a generous nurse who delivered it to us at almost 10pm at night!

All three Gift boys LOVE to sleep with their hands above their heads!
Tanner with his great grandmother!

Tanner Wade Gift

Tanner Wade Gift was born on September 17th at 2:30 in the morning.  He weighed in at 8 pounds 3 ounces and was 21 inches long.  My water broke around 10:15 at night, I felt my first contraction around 11:00, and he was born a couple hours later.

Some back story....Kyle had already gone to bed and was fast asleep.  Graham was actually still awake.  (?!) I thought my water had broken, but I wasn't sure because it was different from the first two.  So I called a few times for Kyle.  (I was downstairs.)  Graham comes running out to the landing and yells, "Daddy has already gone night-night!"  OK.  So then Graham takes it upon himself to run into our bedroom and wake up Kyle.  "Daddy, Daddy, Momma is calling your name!"  We decide to get ready to go to the hospital.  Mom and Dad come over to spend the night.  About 15 minutes later - 10:15  - Graham decides he is hungry and wants cheese and crackers.  Well, once he realized that Papa and Gigi were coming over for a sleepover, he was wired.  So he heads downstairs with Kyle, and Kyle turns on a cartoon for him while he eats his snack on the couch.  Mom and Dad come over, we're chatting before heading off to the hospital, and the entire time Graham is telling us to "SHHH" - I can't hear my show!!  Hilarious!

We get in the car and start driving to the hospital.  I begin to feel my first contractions.  Kyle is taking his sweet time driving - going 25 mph in a 35 mph zone - trying to get his GPS to tell him how to get to the hospital.  When we both already know how to get to the hospital.  Ummmm.....yeah.  Finally, I tell him to speed it up - I can tell him how to get there.  And just a few short hours later, Tanner Wade Gift was born!  Graham LOVED coming to the hospital to meet him!  (Brooks was sick and didn't make a visit to the hospital.)

We think our newest little guy really resembles his brothers....!

Kayak Rides

Either one or two days before Tanner was born, we all went to Papa and Gigi's house to go kayaking.  It was the first time Graham had been in the front seat of the kayak by himself, and he LOVED it.  He and Papa found a sting ray and then searched through the reeds for all kinds of critters and birds.  The weather was perfect!!  (And I was actually able to get down and hop in a kayak myself!

First Day of BSF

Both boys are going to BSF with Gigi this year, and they were READY!!  Brooks was so very excited to have his own backpack, and he was the first one out the door.  Papa picks them up after BSF and takes them to get milkshakes at Wawa every Thursday, and that is just magical for these little fellas!

Graham - Gymnastics

Graham's school year is off to a super fun start!!  We have enrolled him in gymnastics - which is much more than the gym classes he took until he was about 3 years old.  He LOVE LOVES gymnastics!!  (And we love it because it completely wears him out!)  It is super fun to watch him!!

"Poppy"

I wonder if Brooks will be potty trained even earlier than Graham was....little fella insists on going "poppy" whenever Graham does!

"Out For a Sunday Drive"

One of the boys' favorite things to do is to drive to the cul-de-sac a few houses down and drive really fast in the jeep.  Just the perfect thing to do on a beautiful Sunday afternoon!
