Brooks - after he picked a special treat he took a bite and after getting a little teary said, "I made a bad choice."

Funny Things The Kids Say
When Kyle went out of town on a business trip, the horror on Brooks' face-
B: But Daddy - doesn't your company know you have kids?!
When Tanner bit a friend in his classroom, and we are in the car on the way home -
Me: Tanner - do you have anything to tell me?
T: I did not bite Wesley.
(So - do I work on the biting or the lying first?!)
Graham is in a particularly snarky mood -
Kyle: Graham, stop being such a smart Alec.
G: Who is smart Alec??
Later -
Kyle: Graham, stop being such a smart Alec! (said with a little more force the second time around)
G: With complete indignation - I AM smart, BUT WHO IS ALEC?!
At the dinner table one night when Graham was being snarky -
Brooks to Graham: Graham just sit down and be thankful.
At another meal when Brooks is being a bit snarky -
Tanner to Brooks - Just be quiet you nit wit.
When Brooks and Graham are being difficult and getting into a bit of trouble Tanner usually chimes in
T: Am I being awesome?

Tanner's First Day Of School
This sweet boy. He has been waiting for what seems like an eternity to start school. He is so excited to be a big boy like his brothers. No tears, no hesitation, no worry. And this momma's heart is just having a hard time navigating this week. Back to school and big boys. Whew.

Is there any better way for a Gift kid to spend the afternoon after his (or her) first day of school?!
Firsts
Lots of firsts for Graham today - first day at a new school, first day riding the bus, first day eating lunch in the school cafeteria, first day to learn his number, .....
I cried every day this week. Not out of worry but because he is getting so grown up! By Friday Graham told me to stop crying.
