Winter Break

We have had the most perfect winter holiday break between Christmas and New Year's.  Kyle and I have spent so much time with our boys - just enjoying their every day.  They are hysterically funny and fun to be around!  We've had a great family staycation - went to the real bounce house, aquarium, park, bounced a LOT in our new bounce house, played play-doh, watched lots of movies, snuggled, read lots of new books.  New Year's Eve was perfect - we went out to lunch as a family, played in the bounce house in the morning, after the kids woke up from their naps we went to the mall.  We rode the carousel, rented car carts for the big boys, walked Dick's sporting goods and tried on every helmet and face mask.  Then we walked to the cupcake store and we each picked out a cupcake.  Graham chose chocolate, and Brooks chose Elmo.  We came home and watched Shrek with a picnic dinner - a PERFECT New Year's Eve!!

Family Dinner

One of our favorite traditions is to go out for a really nice dinner right after Christmas with just the adults.  This year we went to Zoe's and sat at the Chef's Table.  We had SUCH a fun, long, lingering meal.  About 3-4 hours of great conversation, laughter, really great food and wine.  What a blessing to have a family we so enjoy spending time with!

Christmas - MUCH better than Thanksgiving!!!

Thanksgiving was not our favorite time this year with Tanner in the hospital for 6 days.  We were remembering that time over Christmas as our whole family was healthy, and the holiday was just perfect.  We are so grateful for such a wonderful Christmas!!!

My last name badge to get into the Children's Hospital... (That is my driver's license picture....I looked like death every day I went into the hospital.)

Christmas Gifts from the Gift Boys

This didn't turn out QUITE like the ones I saw on Pinterest.....but Brooks and Graham did make cute little ornaments for all our family members!

Christmas Night - With The Brown Girls

Our brown girls LOVED their Christmas presents!!!  And we loved getting to enjoy them opening their own box!!!

Oysters and Bourbon....

I never get a picture with just my dad - what an incredible man!!!

Tanner with his BeBe and his great grandfather!

The turkey vultures!!  One of my favorite parts of the day.  Graham got in his chair to pick at the turkey as Papa carved it and immediately called Ammi over - knowing she loves to do the same thing!  And the two of them proceeded to eat their weight in turkey!

Christmas Afternoon

At my parents' house - Graham had quiet time in Papa and Gigi's bed, the other kids all took naps, and the adults exchanged gifts.  We actually had time to enjoy and linger and laugh!

Scooters for the big boys!!

And we finished off the day with our traditional oysters and bourbon and a YUMMY turkey dinner!!  Christmas Day was pretty close to perfect!!!
