More Family Weekend

Saturday night we picked crab legs together - Graham LOVED the crab legs!!  Kyle and I watched more Modern Family (probably the funniest show I've ever seen!), then we had church on Sunday, Papa and Gigi to dinner, and a fun afternoon playing outside.  The perfect family weekend!!

Family Weekend

We have had so much going on lately that we decided to hibernate and just enjoy some family time last weekend.  And we really had a wonderfully relaxing weekend!  Friday afternoon we went for a bike ride, picked up PF Changs for dinner, put the kids to bed, then Kyle and I started on Modern Family season 2.  Saturday we ran a couple errands in the morning then took the kids to Hunt Club Farms.  SO SO SO FUN!!!! We went in the petting zoo, saw "llama, llama red pajama", rode a tractor, saw funny looking birds, rode some really fun amusement park rides, and rode a pony!

The first picture - Graham has learned to cross his eyes!  And he does it all the time since he knows he will have us laughing hysterically!

Learning to chew....

And he's not very interested....

baby puffs are the only thing I can get him to work on.

Brooks - 9 Months

Brooks is the yummiest baby!!  I really can't stop chewing on him.  And he is perfectly content to be snuggled.  All the time.  Good for both of us!  Really - he is happiest if I'm carrying him around with me.  And that makes me happiest, too!

So we had Brooks' 9 month check up - he is so far off the chart for height the doctor told us he is average height for an 18 month old.  Graham better watch out!  And he is still 90% for weight.  He is doing absolutely great.  Although he's less than interested in trying to chew food.

First Trip To The Dentist

While we've known we should take Graham to the dentist for the first time at age 3....we really didn't take it to heart.  Until we realized he had an abscess growing on his top gum.  (He fell on his tooth about a year ago, and it's been grey ever since.  He developed an abscess on his gum, and our next door neighbor told us he really needed to see a dentist in order to avoid a root canal.  So off to the dentist we went.)

Luckily, his first experience was just diagnostic.  He got his teeth cleaned and had a wonderful experience.  We went back two days later to have his front tooth removed.  I think the procedure was harder on Kyle and me than it was on Graham.  He was definitely uncomfortable, but he bounced back so quickly. He is doing great!  Although it will be many years before he has a front tooth again!

(For being brave at the dentist, Graham got a kaleidoscope.  Papa brought over a milkshake the day of his surgery, and the tooth fairy visited our house much sooner than we ever expected.  (She brought Mr. Potato Head from Toy Story.)

Scarecrow Saturday

Our local garden center had "Make a scarecrow" day recently. In concept, it's awesome.  However the event should be renamed - "Dads making scarecrows".  We really had a great time!  I think our scarecrow was awesome but Kyle says he has to stay in the backyard. (Molly wasn't sure what to think of the scarecrow....I think she wanted to eat him.)

Cute Brothers

(I'm sure Brooks is thinking "What - I don't have a toy - what do you want to take from me?!"

Cousins!!

Jack and Brooks were born three days apart!  Sweet cousins!  Greg, Stephanie, and Jack were in town recently, so we had to get the boys together.
