Graham and his Ammi

Ammi came to visit this past weekend, and Graham loved getting some time with her. She is a GREAT sport playing with him. And she even brought him some very yummy Viennese cookies. (Kyle and I dipped into them a bit, and they are almost gone!) Ammi also got to come to Graham's gym class this morning!

Kona - The Beer Girl

Kona is a really chill dog. She is always the one to give up her toys to Molly, she does what we ask even if she doesn't want to, she's very calm and incredibly easy going. Except when it comes to beer. She must have tasted a beer some time ago and liked it. So, when Kyle drinks beer, she gets a little greedy. It is hilarious to watch her try to reach for the beer and try to get a sip. Somehow we must get this on video and send it in to America's Funniest Home Videos.

Brooks - Family and Funny Poses

Brooks is one lucky kid to get to know two great grandparents!! His Ammi has even come down to visit him twice in his first month! Grandpa came over a few days ago to meet his newest great grandson.

And, it wouldn't be a post about Brooks if we didn't include some funny sleeping poses. He really is funny with his hands!

New Gifts....And some Randomness

One very special thing during this time - our neighbors and friends from church have provided dinners for us every other night since Brooks was born. And the meals keep coming - we have truly been overwhelmed by everyone's generosity. And, quite a few people have brought gifts over for Brooks and gifts for Graham as well -I've been BLOWN away!! One fantastic gift for Graham - books! Here is is opening his books from Pop Pop and G-mom. He insists on reading these books every day. Literally every day. Super cute!

Graham - helping clean with the swiffer!
A little brightness in the VERY cold winter we are having - fresh flowers from Trader Joe's in my foyer. They have definitely brightened many a freezing cold day this past month.

Can't Forget The Ladies

One of the brainstorms of our Christmas....great toys for the brown girls are those made for extra large dogs. They had been less than interested in Brooks and quite interested in making sure they each are still snuggled and have attention. So, they get a special treat every once in a while in the evening - this was peanut butter inside giant red bones. Doesn't get any better than that!

Sweet Graham

This is one of my favorite pictures of Graham - such a sweet face!! And below....Graham requested that he get hair his hair done just like daddy. And then he saw a nail on the door and ran to find his hammer. (This post sounds a little A.D.D. as I read it again!)

Thank You BB & Buddy!!

Brooks's grandparents, BB & Buddy had this sweater and hat set made just for him. Probably the most stylish outfit he has in his closet!

Brooks Bradley Gift

This was the rose my parents had on the alter at their church to celebrate the birth of Brooks.

First Time at the Movie Theater

This picture really looks like nothing but blackness. Look closely, and you'll see the outline of Graham's face. At the movie theater! Graham has a really yucky cold, so we're trying to keep him away from Brooks so that Brooks doesn't catch it. Kyle stayed home from work today to help me do that, and he decided he wanted to take Graham to the movies. I was immediately quite dismayed since I didn't want to miss out on that "first". But it was something special for the two fellas to do together. The only kid-friendly movie out was Yogi Bear. And Graham LOVED it! Kyle made the movie experience complete with popcorn and candy. And he and Graham were the only two people in the theater. Graham was so taken with Yogi Bear that when he wasn't on the screen, he would yell out "more BEAR" in the theater. Not a big deal since no one else was in the theater!

When they came home, Graham came running in the door yelling, "Mommy, Mommy - BEAR! Movies! Bear fell down! Boo boo ouch!"

Helping Out/ Hibernating

Graham is becoming quite the little helper. We ordered a double jogging stroller that required a minimal amount of "putting together". Once Graham saw that it was a project, he held up one finger and said "Find hammer!" He found his hammer and exclaimed, "FOUND Hammer!" and ran over to help Daddy put together the stroller. Very sweet. I see a tool belt in his future!
The stroller is ready to go, but it's FREEZING outside. So, we continue to hibernate. And go stir crazy.

Gigi and Papa came over yesterday with some new books for Graham. (He actually is very interested in new books despite the look he has on his face in this picture!)

And when you're going stir crazy and desperate for something new to do inside....you turn the jogging stroller box into a "house". Complete with a bathroom. And a sun roof. (?) Yeah - we did call it a house and not a car.

Brooks has two new best friends (although he doesn't know it, yet!). Our neighbors Chris and Erin have a 4 month old son, Colton. And, our other neighbors Jill and Adam just had a little boy today - Mitchell. We can't wait to watch these boys grow up together! (I have a feeling they will be getting into a lot of mischief together. Potentially lead by Graham....)

And, we are recreating the "sloth" picture with Brooks. We'll hang the best one next to the one of Graham (in the same outfit) in the hallway.

Happy and Well Adjusted

Graham is still happy and well adjusted! He is enjoying friends stopping by bringing meals, he is enjoying showing off and just being the center of attention these days. He also enjoys stealing Brooks's binkies and running off with them! (Good thing we have a lot of them!) He has started doing a "baby" exercise show on TV with Kyle - hilarious! (We've had freezing temperatures for quite some time, and we're going a bit stir crazy being inside so much! Note the crazy hair Graham has for his exercise class with Kyle - he and Kyle went a little crazy with the hair gel!) And, Graham still has quite the fashion flair. He found his crocs the other day and has been wearing either those or his slippers at all times around the house.

Settling In

We are all settling in as a new family of 4 (6!). Brooks is a really sweet and a fairly easy baby. And Graham seems to be very comfortable with another little tiny human in the house. (Most of the time!) Graham loves to kiss Baby Brooks. (And sometimes he enjoys hitting him, too. But it's easy to see Graham's "wind - up", and we can usually stop him before he connects a hit with Brooks.)

One funny thing about Brooks - he does not want to be swaddled. He loves to have his hands out and sometimes he'll sleep with them straight up in the air for quite some time. It's really funny! (Like the last picture on this post - he slept like that for at least 30 minutes!)
