Amazing How Much Gets Done During Quiet Time!

Our Annual Polar Express Movie Night

It was SUUUPPPPER low key this year.  Friends all pitched in by bringing food, and we really just had a good time enjoying everyone's company.

Someone from the other kindergarten class wrote Graham a note to tell him what a great job he did in the Christmas performance!!

I would use the word entertaining.

Graham's Annual Christmas Performance

We laughed more this evening than we had in months.  Graham's school has a little holiday program every year.  This year, however, was a different performance from our sweet Graham.  To start, he hated - absolutely hated - the nice clothes he was wearing.  He didn't like his pants, the collared shirt was too bunchy under his nice new red sweater, and his shoes were too tight.  He didn't sing a single word to any song (do not be deceived when you see his mouth open in the pictures - he wasn't singing anything).  He looked bored the whole time.  And if he didn't look bored, he was giving me and my mom a dirty look for all the laughing we were doing.  Even looked straight at us and mouthed "STOP IT" at one point.  Everyone around us was also laughing.  At one point the teachers passed out instruments.  Instead of playing his, he messed around with it eventually dropped it, dropped to his hands and knees to look for it, and popped up having never found it.  He caught the eye of his teacher, lifted his palms in the air and mouthed "I don't have one!"

Needless to say, we bought the DVD of the performance.  The best comedy we've seen.  Almost ever.
