And I mean giant! My grandmother came to the beach last weekend, and she brought a vegetable that she just found in her garden. Didn't even know she had it! A turnip that had been forgotten so long it was HUGE! It was literally the size of a dinner plate. Not kidding. I love turnips, so we chopped it up, tossed it with olive oil, sea salt, and pepper. And roasted it. My favorite way to eat turnips. And it was delicious!
Almost time to get the garden going....the peas are in already. Just need to get my other seeds going. We're trying some new stuff this year....
