This time last year we adopted Molly from the SPCA. (Aside: Not sure why we did this, but a couple weekends after we adopted her we decided to take both the dogs camping. Molly kept us up all night jumping all around the tent. Acorns hit the tent about every 60 seconds and she wanted to make sure we knew. The following 3-4 months were somewhat of a preparation for Graham. Molly didn't sleep through the night until about 4 months after she came home.) She was severly underweight when we brought her home - about 35 pounds on a great dane/ german shepherd frame. We think she was about a year or two when we got her. Over the past year she's made a lot of progress. She used to be very skittish - we think her last home wasn't very pleasant - and now she just can't get enough hugs and kisses. Initially Kona wasn't too excited about sharing her kingdom. But now they give each other kisses in the morning when they wake up. Molly's frame has not changed but according to the vet today she is now 68 pounds and probably full grown. (Because of her previous home life we think she missed a few growth spurts. Kyle's brother, Barrett, a veterinarian, tells us that's a possible explanation given her smaller frame and oversized features.)
