Planes, Trains and Automobiles...well actually only trains

A couple my parents are very close with - the Cofers - invited us and a few other families over just before Christmas to play with their trains. Now I've heard about Bill (dad) and Landon's (son) hobby, but I never had any idea how cool it was. We trotted off with Graham to see the trains, and what an incredible experience. They had a small train in the front yard to whet our appetite - Graham loved it. (Even though it wasn't in the greatest of moods that night.)

We started off downstairs with dessert and a small train around their Christmas tree.
Graham meeting the other kids - William, in particular, was super cute!

We walked up to the Cofer's third floor (we went through a closet - so cool - felt like we were in the Chronicles of Narnia!)
Command Central - they had so many trains going at the same time, we couldn't count them. Trains travelling through the mountains, trains travelling through the seaside...everywhere!

The viewing area (yeah - Graham didn't stay in the seat for long...)

Which one can I grab?!....(There is actually a section the Cofers set up for little kids to play with. Tons of buttons to push.)

Nearing the end, Graham found it more interesting to climb the stairs and open cabinets. We knew our time was drawing to a close!

A big THANKS to the Cofers! We hope to come back again soon! As a sidenote - they are fairly well known in the train world for what they have built. At a recent convention, people were bussed in to their home to see their trains. It's unbelievably impressive. I know Graham will appreciate this even more in the years to come. (And his mom and dad REALLY enjoyed it!)
