We invite our entire family each year to come to our church service and then we usually host a dinner at our home after so that we can put Graham to bed a little easier. Graham wore his "fancy clothes" again. And, we decided to try to let him sit with us in the service - I want to start to pull him out of nursery so that church isn't so much babysitting but that he gets more involved. He actually did a great job in the service for about 20 minutes. We read scriptures and sang together which was pretty special. Then he started to get antsy. Kyle gave him the choice - play in nursery or play with Daddy. Can you imagine what he chose? Without missing a beat "play with Daddy"! So, they headed downstairs and hung out in the fellowship hall until we took communion - which we did as a family and then closed with a few Christmas carols. A very special Christmas Eve service.
(At this point, I was hoping Brooks wouldn't make an appearance before Christmas morning - I wanted Christmas morning to be special with Graham. Now, three days after Christmas, we find ourselves just waiting and waiting....wanting this little fella to be born!)
After church, we exchanged presents with Graham's cousins Evie and Lila - the beginning of opening presents!! Graham really got the hang of this quickly this year!
