"Coleman's" Nursery

Since Coleman's Nursery burned down years ago, they have been set up at Courthouse Galleries ever since. We went last year, but Graham didn't quite "get" it. This year, we had a special family day planned for a Saturday - we went to gym class, picked up some last minute gifts at Target, went out to lunch, headed home for Graham's nap, and as soon as he woke up, we drove over to Portsmouth to see the Christmas exhibit. It was actually the perfect time to go - dusk as we were walking in and dark when we came out. It was pretty magical - fires burning outside, all of downtown Portsmouth lit up, and Graham was very interested in the displays - he loved it this year!!

He was rather vocal - saw the ice skater who fell and said "Man fell down", we were able to actually get a picture of him with Santa Claus, and we just chit-chatted our way through. Such fun. Then we came home to have a picnic dinner of chicken and dumplings (I've never made them, never even eaten them! But I highly recommend Pioneer Woman's recipe - SOOO yummy! The perfect "stick to your ribs" comfort food for a VERY cold night.). We had our dinner at the coffee table in the family room while we turned on a Christmas movie. Then Graham had his very first bubble bath! The bubbles were almost pouring out of the tub - such fun! The perfect family day. Before our family becomes four!
